EAB International Services Pttd considers effective safety, health and environmental management to be of prime importance to its business and is committed to continuous
improvement in performance in all these areas.
EAB International Services Pttd will:
Comply with all legislative requirements and EAB International Services Pttd policy pertaining to safety, health and the environment as its minimum standard;
Pursue high standards of safety, health and environmental management as an integral part of efficient management of the business ensuring that all business decisions take proper account of safety, health and environmental implications;
Develop, implement and maintain a safety, health and environmental management system consistent with the EAB International Services Pttd framework.
Fully support all EAB International Services Pttd employees and subcontractors in their obligation and right to stop any work, that in their opinion is not being conducted safely, may adversely affect the health and safety of others, or may be detrimental to the environment.
Provide Health Safety and Environmental training and awareness to its people as a critical element of achieving its core HSE objectives.
Develop procedures that, in particular, provide for:
- Plant and systems of work that are safe and without risk to health or the environment;
- Suitable arrangements for the selection, use, handling, storage and transport of articles and substances;
- Adequate information, instruction, training and supervision to enable work to be carried out safely and without risk to the environment by persons with the necessary competence;
- Safe premises and work places, including access to and egress from them;
- Safe and healthy working environments with adequate welfare facilities;
- Designs which recognize, include and apply safe practice during preparation, construction and subsequent operational use and maintenance after completion of a project, and which consider lifecycle environmental impact including decommissioning and disposal;
- Leadership and support to suppliers to enable them to contribute to improvements in our overall safety, health and environmental performance;
- Prevention of polluting emissions to air, land or water;
- Efficient use of natural resources;
- Control of noise, dust, odor, vibration, traffic movement or other nuisance or environmental effects which may cause offence to the local community or environment;
- Waste minimization;
- Management of waste disposal including recycling where appropriate;
- Consultation, occupational health and advisory facilities as required.
Develop and review clear safety, health and environmental performance indicators including:
- Accident and incident performance rates;
- Attainment of annual safety, health and environmental objectives;
- Training achievement;
- Results of safety, health and environmental audits.
